Mit dem Durchschreiten des Eingangsportals verlassen Sie die befestigte Straße und tauchen in eine märchenhafte, typische Allgäu-Landschaft ein. Der Weg folgt dem Ostertalbach durch das wildromantische Ostertaltobel, eine sanfte Schlucht mit schäumenden Wasserfällen, kleinen Strudeln und Gumpen. Der schmale Pfad verläuft leicht bergab und wird vom Fluss begleitet, der Ihnen den Weg weist. Entlang des Ufers wandern Sie im Schatten der Bäume, vorbei an Steinmännchen und Skulpturen, bis eine Brücke den Bach erneut überquert. Mächtige Felsen säumen den Weg, der sich bergauf windet, bevor sich das Gelände wieder öffnet. Sie gelangen nach Gunzesried-Säge auf eine Teerstraße, dieser folgen Sie links hinauf zur Buhl's Alpe – einem malerischen Berggasthof auf rund 1.000 m Höhe. Hier lohnt sich der Einkehrschwung. Für den Rückweg spazieren Sie auf einer breiten Forststraße gemütlich zurück zum Parkplatz Ostertal. Hinweis: Der Ostertaltobel ist von November bis ca. Mitte Mai wegen Felssturzgefahr gesperrt!!
